Resistor Upgrade Kits

Our new resistor upgrade kit brings a subtle but very real improvement in clarity and openness to your Volti Audio speakers.

A complete kit for both speakers is $350.

The parts are pre‑configured to drop right in place of the old resistors and the Lexan cover fits over them.

To get a handle on how much of a difference it makes, the crew and I sat down one afternoon and did some listening. We compared the standard Lynk resistors—excellent parts we’ve used for years—to the big, heavy‑duty resistors we jokingly call the “Big Uglies” around the shop. The Lynk’s are great, no question. They’re the last component the signal passes through before it reaches the midrange and tweeter, so they play a big role in shaping the voice of the speaker.

But the Big Uglies took things up a notch. After a few hours of back‑and‑forth listening, we were all in agreement: the new resistors sounded smoother, clearer, and just better overall. Not night‑and‑day, but definitely noticeable—and definitely worth doing if you want to get everything these speakers are capable of.

Please note: These resistor kits are setup for current model, factory setting only.  Customized kits are available, but with a significant increase in price and a lead time based on availability of parts.  Please inquire if you have any questions or would like to order a custom resistor upgrade kit.
