Volti Audio does not accept returns or exchanges of product for any reason.

 

Payments/Refunds

Volti Audio does not offer refunds. All payments and deposits are non-refundable.

Most transactions with Volti Audio begin with a written invoice, quotation, or work agreement. These documents are prepared with input from both Volti Audio and the customer and describe the products, services, pricing, and terms of the transaction.

Every invoice, quotation, and work agreement includes the following notice:

“Please review our written policies before sending any payment to Volti Audio”

By making a payment of any amount toward an invoice, quotation, or work agreement, you acknowledge and accept both the terms of that document and the written policies of Volti Audio. Your acceptance is effective upon payment and does not require a signature from either party.

Because Volti Audio sells directly to our customers and operates with modest margins, all deposits and payments are non-refundable. This policy allows us to conduct business fairly and consistently while continuing to offer the highest level of craftsmanship and value.

For that reason, we encourage every customer to make a careful and informed purchasing decision before sending any payment.

Payment in full is required before any products are shipped.

 

Production Time and Delivery

All production and shipping timelines are estimates and may be shorter or longer than originally expected.

Warranty

Volti Audio passes on to our customers all manufacturers’ warranties provided to us by our suppliers.

All Volti Audio products are warranted by Volti Audio for one year from the date of purchase, with the exception of issues resulting from the natural behavior of wood, as explained below.

Volti Audio loudspeakers are built to an exceptionally high standard using premium plywoods, hardwoods, veneers, adhesives, and durable lacquer finishes. We build every product with the goal of creating something that can be enjoyed for generations.

Wood, however, is a natural material. Changes in temperature, humidity, direct sunlight, and proximity to heat sources can cause wood to expand, contract, check, crack, or otherwise change over time. Because these environmental conditions are beyond our control, they are not covered under warranty.

This policy is not based on an expectation of problems with our cabinets. Quite the opposite—our cabinets have proven to be extremely stable under normal residential conditions. It exists because no wood product, regardless of quality, can withstand every environment. Placement in direct sunlight, next to heating vents or radiators, or in unconditioned spaces subject to extreme heat, cold, or humidity can damage even the finest furniture and cabinetry.

Broken grille pins are not covered under warranty.

 

Limitation of Liability

Volti Audio shall not be liable for any loss or damage arising out of or in connection with the products we supply, except that our liability shall be limited to the repair, replacement, or refund of the product, as applicable under our warranty and policies.

 

Privacy

Volti Audio respects your privacy. We will not sell your contact information or share your correspondence with us without your prior written consent.

The one exception is our email newsletter. If you contact Volti Audio by email, we may add you to our newsletter mailing list. If you prefer not to receive it, you can unsubscribe at any time by clicking the unsubscribe link included in every newsletter.

 

Delivery Period

The estimated delivery date for products or custom work will normally be stated in the quotation, work agreement, or invoice. If no delivery date is specified, the estimated delivery period will be based on the correspondence between Volti Audio and the Buyer.

 

Veneer Allowances

Some quotations, work agreements, or invoices include an allowance for the cost of veneer. This allowance represents the maximum amount included in the quoted price. If the actual cost of the selected veneer exceeds the allowance, the additional cost will be charged to the buyer.

If the actual veneer cost is less than the allowance, no refund or credit will be issued for the unused portion of the allowance.

 

Veneer Variations

Volti Audio uses real wood veneer on our loudspeaker cabinets. We purchase each veneer species in small batches from our suppliers, and the color, grain pattern, figure, and other natural characteristics will vary from one batch to the next.

Most Volti Audio loudspeakers are sold from photographs of the actual pair being offered. In those cases, the loudspeakers you receive will be the same pair shown in the photographs, subject only to normal variations in color and appearance caused by lighting, photography, and individual display devices.

On the rare occasion that a pair of loudspeakers is custom ordered, the veneer samples and loudspeaker photographs shown on this website are intended only to represent the veneer species you select. Because every tree is unique, the veneer used on your Volti Audio loudspeakers will have its own individual character and may differ in color, grain pattern, figure, and other natural characteristics from the photographs shown on this website or from other Volti Audio loudspeakers.

 

Wood Finish

At Volti Audio, it is our preference to use real wood veneers on our loudspeaker cabinets. Our goal is for customers to immediately recognize that their loudspeakers are finished with real wood from real trees the moment they walk up to them and run their hand across the cabinet.

We celebrate the natural character of wood rather than trying to hide it. Variations in grain, figure, color, texture, small knots, knot voids, mineral streaks, checks, natural discoloration, and other characteristics are all part of real wood veneer. You may also notice subtle marks that are a normal part of the veneer manufacturing process before it reaches our shop. These characteristics are not defects—they are part of what makes every pair of Volti Audio loudspeakers unique.

Our cabinets are typically finished with multiple coats of clear satin lacquer. Rather than applying a thick, glass-like finish that completely fills the grain, we prefer a finish that allows the natural texture and character of the wood to remain both visible and tactile. We believe this approach better showcases the beauty of real wood veneer and gives our loudspeakers the appearance and feel of fine handcrafted furniture.

Every pair of Volti Audio loudspeakers is carefully inspected before it is offered for sale. If, in my judgment, a cabinet has a cosmetic imperfection that falls outside my standards of workmanship or appearance, it will either be corrected or, if offered for sale, the cosmetic imperfection will be fully disclosed and reflected in the selling price before the customer makes a purchase.
