8/26/2017 - NL36 Hello to all my subscribers, especially our new subscribers, thanks for coming along. Did you know you can catch up on most of the Volti Audio story by reading old newsletters? You can find them on the website. This will be the shortest and simplest email newsletter you've ever received from me. Maybe that's a relief to some of you! I apologize to the rest of you. But you see, I'm just too busy to spend a lot of time right now writing the usual in-depth, wordy, photo-laden, link-filled, newsletter that you're used to getting from me. You know how life has a way of throwing curve balls at you? I've had a few come my way lately, and so as I set priorities, unfortunately spending time on the newsletter is down the list. But most everything is going well right now. Business is good, and the Rival speakers are sounding great and selling really well. We've also got the Rival Demo speakers out on the road now, so if you're interested in trying out a pair of Rival speakers in your home/system, contact me and get on the list. The new workshop is coming along, slowly but surely. Although it looks like it's still going to be some time before we are moved out of the camper and into the new living quarters. Work space has to come first you know. I've got two new speakers under development at the moment, so keep an ear clear for those. One of them is a fully horn loaded speaker with a much simpler build than the Vittora, and a correspondingly lower price. The other one is a two-way speaker, smaller and less costly than the Rival. I'm shooting for the $3,500 mark, per pair, for the base model. We'll see how close I get to that in the end. I'm really trying to round out the product line with speakers that all have the "Volti" sound, but in different sizes and price points. My plan is to get the affordable options in place first, and then take a look at the top of our range - hint, hint. Don't worry, I'll always make sure that each speaker is uniquely Voltified! Quality build, off the charts dynamic range, great tone, options for those of you who want a really beautiful speaker, and always, always, always - a sound that captures those same characteristics that make listening to real live music compelling and engaging. The L.A. Audio show went really well for us. Volti was there with Triode Wire Labs and a new show partner, Perla Audio. The California Audio Show also went really well. Volti Audio was there with Triode Wire Labs and BorderPatrol Audio. The attendees at the California Audio Show this year voted on what they thought was the best sounding system at the show. After all the votes were tallied, the Volti Audio/BorderPatrol/Triode Wire Labs system came in second place! But what's more intriguing, is that if you purchased the second place system at CAS 2017 instead of purchasing the first place system, you would save yourself $970,000.00! So there you have it. Not one photo, not one link, and pretty low word count for me! But it only took about half an hour to complete this one, compared to 10 - 15 hours for the usual newsletter. I do hope you'll forgive me. You might note that this is the first newsletter sent through MailChimp rather than Constant Contact. It's a test run, and I hope it works out. MailChimp offers a "pay as you go" feature, which is great for someone like me who only sends a couple newsletters a year. Thank you for your support, and until next time, trust your ears and Have Fun! Greg Roberts
